"We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do."
This is a simple promise that the staff at Emeritus at Dunedin — and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities — has shared since 1990, when our community first opened its doors. It's a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful — a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care.
Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with an outdoor courtyard, meandering trails and lovely gardens, Emeritus at Dunedin is considered one of the premier assisted living and Alzheimer's communities in the Greater St. Petersburg area. Nestled in the heart of historic Dunedin, near US 19, I-275 and I-75, our senior living community offers 105 apartments on two floors. Here our residents — in many cases, with their pets — enjoy retirement living. Yet a helping hand from our warm, caring staff is always close by.
Our community also offers an innovative memory care program, Join Their Journey®, for seniors affected by Alzheimer's or dementia. Because your family's experience will be unlike any other, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one, so that we can offer support and solutions for your individual situation. We "join the journey" of your loved one by recognizing individuality, encouraging choices and allowing residents the dignity to live in a secure, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them.
Our common areas — including our lovely dining room, TV room and library — give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including exercise classes and off-site excursions. Emeritus at Dunedin is in a rural area, conveniently located near Countryside Mall and Clearwater Mall, as well as several country and state parks, Clearwater Beach and Ft. Desoto Park. In addition, the facilities of the Morton Plant Mease Hospital System and a nursing home rehabilitation center are also close by if ever needed.
If you are living on your own, you can also choose to spend the day with us. Our in-house senior day programs offers health services tailored to your needs to help you maintain your independence. At the same time, you'll meet new people and enjoy meaningful activities that enrich your life, including shopping outings, live entertainment, educational programs, games and much more. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided.
