For some reason We Can Work it Out by the Beatles was going through my head when I woke up today. Just thought this might be a fun thread.

There was a red-back on the toilet seat
When I was there last night,
I didn't see him in the dark,
But boy! I felt his b***!
I jumped high up into the air,
And when I hit the ground,
That crafty red-back spider
Wasn't nowhere to be found.
I rushed in to the missus,
Told her just where I'd been bit,
She grabbed the cut throat razor blade,
And I nearly took a fit.
I said, "Just forget what's on your mind,
And call a doctor please,
'Cause I've got a feeling that your cure
Is worse than the disease."

There was a red-back on the toilet seat
When I was there last night,
I didn't see him in the dark,
But boy! I felt his bite!
And now I'm here in hospital,
A sad and sorry plight,
And I curse that red-back spider
On the toilet seat last night.

I can't lay down, I can't sit up,
And I don't know what to do,
And all the nurses think it's funny,
But that's not my point of view.
I tell you it's embarrassing,
And that's to say the least
That I'm to sick to eat a bite,
While that spider had a feast!

And when I get back home again,
I tell you what I'll do,
I'll make that red-back suffer
For the pain I'm going through.
I've had so many needles
That I'm looking like a sieve,
And I promise you that spider
Hasn't very long to live!
There was a red-back on the toilet seat
When I was there last night,
I didn't see him in the dark,
But boy! I felt his bite!
And now I'm here in hospital,
A sad and sorry plight,
And I curse that red-back spider
On the toilet seat last night.

Beverly Hills by Weezer. I don’t particularly like the song, but it’s catchy. Heard it in the car the other morning.... and it hijacked my brain.

By the way I don't like those groups I mentioned. Hardcore heavy metal has never been my thing. But to each his/her own. :)

Hey Captain, were you ever a fan of the The Plasmatic's? If you like Doro I thought you might be a fan of Wendy William's. Or maybe you prefer Udo?

My 4 year old granddaughter sings Albaque (spelling,) Turkey about how a turkey wants to be her pet instead of the main course at Thanksgiving which she obliges and they have eggs. You sort of have to see it and having it sung by a relative makes a difference.

Hi Pam. I've hit a deer in my subdivision, an area that couldn't be described as rural. I guess they've really adapted to living in close proximity to people.

And now I've got "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" stuck in my head.

Gershun, more than I care to admit.. and if you include my hubs... LOL We live in a very rural area,, Hubs has hit 2 in farm lanes! The last one was a few years ago.. I am hoping my streak is over. They leap out of cornfields and hedgerows.. The last one was 2 miles from home.. I called hubs at 5 am and told him I took Rudolph out.. Christmas was ruined for the world! I pulled into the nearest farm lane, and the milk truck passed me going in,, said Not again! I have a permently dented license plate.. does that answer you question? LOL
