VA homemaker and home health care and VA respite care.

Here is some information I stumbled onto that has been tremendously helpful to me.

My grandfather was in the curious position of inheriting money at age 90, so he lost his Aide & Attendance pension. But as it turns out, all veterans, regardless of means, qualify for this other benefit. He now gets 21 hours of free home aide assistance. He also qualifies for respite care. This means that if we need to go out of town, we can utilize a local nursing home free of charge.

I was surprised I hadn't heard of this before, and it has been so helpful for us that I wanted to share it with this board.
