Yes thanks sharyn....It makes me think of scuba diving in the Caribbean...being underwater and seeing and hearing nothing but nature and your bubbles is the most freeing feeling in the world I have been craving it last few days!! setting some goals!!!

I digress...it took me on a dive, thanks!!!

@twopupsmom I haven't heard that song in a while but how true! Will have to play on YouTube when I have some privacy.

Meanwhile, someone with a talent for parodies needs to turn "Walkin' in Memphis" into "Walking on Eggshells." I hear over the correct words in the refrain:
"Walking on eggshells/ Walking with one foot stuck in my mouth..."

It's been that kind of week.

"Out Here on My Own" by Irene Cara. The lyrics and faith in God guide me through difficult times:

Sometimes I wonder
Where I've been
Who I am, do I fit in?
Make-believing is hard alone
Out here, on my own
We're always proving
Who we are
Always reaching
For that rising star
To guide me far
And shine me home
Out here on my own
When I'm down and feeling blue
I close my eyes so I can be with you
Oh, baby, be strong for me
Baby, belong to me
Help me through
Help me need you
Until the morning sun appears
Making light of all my fears
I dry the tears I've never shown
out here on my own
But when I'm down and feeling blue
I close my eyes so I can be with you
Oh, baby, be strong for me
Baby, belong to me
Help me through
Help me need you
Sometimes I wonder
Where I've been
Who I am, do I fit in?
I may not win
But I can't be thrown
Out here on my own
Out here
On my own

Yesterday was a bad one for me, so I googled Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry Be Happy" video and watched it several times. I woke up with it in my head this morning. Stock market crashes, car breaks down, termites chewing on the house, father running through house with no clothes on -- Don't worry, be happy. Stressing about it all just steals the joy we could feel right now.

I downloaded this music in my Kindle because I liked the sound, rhythm, etc... There must have been an update on the Music because today, I saw that my kindle now has a caption! (Lyrics of the song playing.)

Brave by Sara Bareilles. I first heard her songs on the YouTube videos of Children's cancer hospital. So, I downloaded it. Today, as I read the words of song as she was singing it, I realized that I could apply this in my life as a caregiver towards my grumpy father's attitude.

You can be amazing
You can turn a phrase into a weapon or a drug
You can be the outcast
Or be the backlash of somebody’s lack of love
Or you can start speaking up

Nothing’s gonna hurt you the way that words do
When they settle ‘neath your skin
Kept on the inside and no sunlight
Sometimes a shadow wins
But I wonder what would happen if you

Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave
With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

Everybody’s been there,
Everybody’s been stared down by the enemy
Fallen for the fear
And done some disappearing,
Bow down to the mighty
Don’t run, just stop holding your tongue

Maybe there’s a way out of the cage where you live
Maybe one of these days you can let the light in
Show me how big your brave is

And since your history of silence
Won’t do you any good,
Did you think it would?
Let your words be anything but empty
Why don’t you tell them the truth?

I listen to music when I walk. Both the walk and music is my therapy. Here are a few of the songs I have in my playlist:

Fighter by Christina Aguilera
Happy by Pharrell Williams
It Gets Better by Todrick Hall
What About Me by Shannon Noll
Beautiful by Everything But The Girl
Southern State of Mind by Darius Rucker

Oh, yes LadeeM it took me awhile but I managed to get to this thread. I like the idea of taking a song and changing the words to it. I think it would be fun. I am going to post just the lyrics to that song and then we can see what kind of creative fun will develop. We have already played some with the song title.
