My dad came here in his early 30's from overseas and speaks a language almost as far from English as you can get and from a country few people have heard of or been to. However, he learned English and speaks it well but he has always been too self-conscious about his accent. Us kids tried but never learned his native language. Is culture/language a component in caring for them?
