I have been using the plastic nosey cups for my dad for a while now. Dad is still coherent and loves his coffee. I found out we have a pottery business near where we live, and showed them what a nosey cup looks like. They made dad a mug with two handles for his coffee to try. It worked great and kept his coffee warm. Then I had her make two more one just like the first one but shorter, and one without handles. So if someone is in the same situation as us and need a warm or hot nosey cup. See if you have a pottery place near you that makes there own items. This has been great for dad.

It allows the person to drink without tipping their head back. I doubt it would be safe if lying down. On an incline possibly. Dad has been successful drink coffee in his.

I’ve never seen a nosey cup, but I checked the pictures on the net. Does it let you drink tea while you are lying down? When I’m crook, it has to be either or, when I want both!
