Mine's not a question, but more of a warning. My mother (95) kept bugging her Dr. to up her sleeping pills. She took 10mg along with a dementia pill at night.

She then got sick with bronchitis and was given more drugs. We went through 3 nights of hell with her sleep walking. Showing up in my room, sitting on my bed complaining about the people in her room. She even tried to crawl in bed with my husband!

I put a gate at the top of the stairs to keep her safe.

All is good now as I lowered her sleeping pill and she's finished with the cough meds.

Please be aware when new meds are introduced for side effects.

I usually ask the pharmacist but didn't this time.

Thanks for your post. Medication affects everyone differently ,especially the elderly.
Several years ago I took Ambien but it kept me awake. So does Benedryl unless I take it during the day. Makes me sleepy lol. Go figure
