Mom just staring at the ceiling and not blinking. Unable to feed herself. On hospice care. Feels like the end is near.

She has gone downhill since Monday. Hospice now has her on regular morphine. I don’t know if she will last much longer. I have a visit arranged for Monday.

Just talked to nurse. It appears as if she is losing the ability to swallow.

Sorry to hear this. The only thing I can think of is to be grateful that she is not suffering since she is in hospice care and on morphine. I hope she passes soon and peacefully.
