Mom just died - more difficult than I thought.

She died yesterday. I was happy about it. For both our sakes. She stressed me out for many years and she didn't even live with me. But I'm having an emotional reaction to her death anyway. Not grief, but feeling shaky, nauseated, not myself, etc. And I have to deal with my brother and his trust also. Barbara

So sorry -I think you are bound to go through various feelings. Grieving the loss of a person with whom you had a dysfunctional relationship can be more complicated and difficult. (((((((((hugs)))))) and my sympathies

Precious one, my heart truly goes out to you. Trust me, there are others on this forum that can relate to the feeling of "relief" that comes when our less-than-healthy loved ones leave this life. It's OKAY!!! You are human. As with any loss, you will go through all of the stages of grief. My therapist always says "Give Yourself Grace". HUGS TO YOU!!!!!!!

Barbara, I'm sorry for your loss. Things will settle down after a while, and you will feel better about things. It will be a roller coaster of emotions, even if you were expecting it, though we are never really prepared, no matter the circumstances. Take time to grieve properly and don't rush into any legal actions. You take care!

Movie quote of the day. From the film This is where I Leave You. A mother to her son at the fathers funeral: “It's OK to laugh, or cry, there's no correct response". Sorry for you loss.
