For the record, I'm not a pro- or anti- vaxxer, I would consider myself a medication minimalist. Vaccinations are not the issue in the article but the finding that maybe viruses are what causes amyloid plaque buildup in the brain, contributing to ALZ and cognitive decline.

It made the national news in Oz as well. Anything that reduces AZ is really really big news. And I’ve coped with MIL and DH with serious shingles (MIL’s got her eye), and it’s horrible, particularly for older people. Bring it on!

Jwellsy - seriously??? If you’d ever had shingles or measles, you’d wish you’d been fully vaccinated for both. If anyone is trying to “scare” people into being vaccinated, they’re doing them a huge favor.

I don't think it's only the shingles vax but any vax that prevents certain types of viruses. If you read the actual article you'll find that it just so happened to center around the shingles vax in Wales unintentionally, but it could have been any other vax that prevents a virus.

Sounds like a scare tactic to me to sell more jabs. What's the difference between a shingles shot and a measles shot?
