>>> Admins, please relocate this post to Questions <<< I used your question as the search parameters in ChatGPT and here are the results: "Yes, your spouse can receive VA benefits if acting as your caregiver, under certain VA programs. Here's how it works: 1. Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) Your spouse can be designated as a Primary Family Caregiver (or Secondary backup caregiver) Eligibility criteria include: You have a VA disability rating of 70%+ service?connected You need at least 6 months of continuous, personal care Youre enrolled in VA health care? Benefits for your spouse if approved as Primary caregiver: Monthly stipend, calculated based on OPM GS?4, step?1 salary: Level 1 = ~62.5% of the GS base pay Level 2 = 100% for veterans unable to self?sustain CHAMPVA health care coverage if they arent covered elsewhere. Caregiver training, mental health counseling, respite care, legal and financial guidance, commissary access. 2. Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS) If you dont meet PCAFC criteria, your spouse may still qualify for support servicestraining, peer mentoring, counseling, and resourcesbut no stipend. 3. Veteran Directed Care (VDC) Under this consumer?directed program, you receive a care budget and can pay your spouse hourly for caregiving services. You technically pay your spouse, but funds come from the VA?managed budget. Program availability varies by location. 4. Aid & Attendance / Housebound Pension If youre eligible for VA pension benefits and require in?home care, you may get extra benefits. While the pension is paid to you, you can use it to compensate your spouse for caregiving, and pay to caregivers is considered a deductible expense. Bottom Line: Yes, as a spouse caregiver you can receive VA benefitsmonthly stipends, health coverage, and support servicesif you qualify under PCAFC. If PCAFC isn't an option, there are support-only services, or programs like Veteran Directed Care or Aid & Attendance, which allow paying your spouse. Next Steps: Visit the VA Caregiver Support Program page to compare PCAFC and PGCSS. Apply online using VA Form 10?10CG, or by phone at 1?855?260?3274 to speak with a Caregiver Support Coordinator. Work with your VA team to determine eligibility and which level of benefits fits your situation."

That is a very good question, I thought so but I'm not sure, also with things changing so much now, who knows. Maybe someone else here will have a better answer, best thing to do is to call your local VA .
