Find Care & Housing
Try your Office of Aging. They know whst supplimentals are available in your State. I would stay away from Medicare Advsntages. Keep traditional Medicare and add a supplimental. With my Mom she had Medicare and a State (PADD) prescription plan so I got her a medigap plan.

Hmm. You haven't elaborated.
Does mom only have Parts A (covers hospital) and B (covers doctor visits & outpatient services) or Part D (prescription coverage) as well?
Medicare Advantage plans can be good, but there are serious drawbacks too.
Medicare Open Enrollment starts mid-Oct to 1st week in Dec. That's when you should consider finding a Healthcare insurance agent in your zip code who can come to you to discuss options.
Questions you will be asked: Will your mom like to keep her doctors? Will she need transportation to/from doctor apptmts? Will she want to participate in gym time? Does she need rehab services? An HMO is cheaper than a PPO (preferred provider) but the HMO requires a referral from your primary Dr if you need a specialist.
The agent gets paid from the insurance company, so regardless what Medicare your mom picks, it is of very little significance to the agent.
Source: AARP online has a very thorough explanation of how to shop for mom's best needs and the major pitfalls of looking for a plan without educating yourself first. I am not endorsing AARP, they were just the 1st source to pop in my thoughts.
Best wishes!

Check with your/her insurance agent and if you don't have one, find one that will go over all her options to see what works best for her.

By researching, you will find the best supplemental for the individual needs of your elder. And it will take a lot of thinking, discussion with doctor and researching. Good luck.
