For elderly people who are still mentally able to use electronic devices, the Grandpad tablet is great for different activities.

MD, Grandpads will give you a little overview if you just look them up online. Amazon has them. They are basically some simple, larger print, easier access to the things we elders (I'm 81) use most, email, phone, blah blah.

I think comparing them to regular laptop might be done on some places like youtube.

A funny story from me. I have had my little jitterbug forever, always avoiding a "big girl" phone. When I travel by plane, however I can't get app for my airline, and know easily about cancellations and etc as my little phone is anything but smart. So told my partner to give me a little inservice on his iphone and found out it is so much more SIMPLE than my jitterbug I was astounded. Looks like I am heading for a big girl phone soon after all!
