Here is your answer!

Everything we do it seems there is a specific glossary that is used. On this site there are numerous acronyms that are used that are confusing. We are not a secret society so let's try to help out the newcomers.

Here is a link to many terms and acronyms used on this site.

Thanks Gladimhere!
Oh, and I did google the second one and got the answer. I then wondered what post I'd been reading when I put it on a sticky note to find out about later on. Searched it on the site and makes sense. It was from a seriously messed up first time poster thread on the same day old timer's also re-appeared on the forum or came out of closet or who knows what. Bottom line, it was a messed up couple days there! Hopefully things are better now. Seems like it,...to me at least! Except for the lady who's mom was on the floor. I didn't think she was a trouble-maker herself due to her note to lealonnie1 and she didn't engage with people in an argument. People just got inflamed and it built from one post to the next without the OP even piping in. I'm not here every day but I am starting to learn people getting inflamed and harsh words does happen here at times. I hated it when it was happening to me though. Hey, thanks again and have a great night!

But the sp with ####'s wasn't rude to me and I dont remember thinking they were creating problems. Is it just an inside joke about sp with ####'s meaning that?

I just read this on page 2:
"sp followed by numbers is a poster who makes inflammatory comments to create chaos in a conversation"

Is that really true? I've seen sp with ####'s on this site.

Thank you for confirming that gladImhere! I think you posted while I was typing to say I maybe figured it out. I probably should have taken time to think it through better before I asked. I appreciate your quick response though.

Oh, maybe I figured it out. You're bumping the question to the top of the question list since they show in order of what was last responded to. Is that what bump means?

I'm new and wasn't going to come back here after my first 2 weeks because of the rude people, but I accidentally clicked in from an newsletter in my email and have been reading interesting things tonight.

Wondering about bump made me just violate my own vow to never post here again though. The rude people who ruined my opinion of this forum were named Margaret M & someone else who was even worse named reallyreal. I still remember their names because they thought they were the bosses of the forum and attacked me and told me to go away when I was trying to help a question poster after first being confused about the question. I just checked and the whole question got taken down I guess. I'm not surprised since they completely ruined the thread and changed the subject and I stopped posting but noticed it digressed into other people fighting, and really real was telling someone else off who tried to defend me. And the person who's thread it was kept telling everyone to stop, then that person freaked out too and said they were stalking her. It was really crazy. That's where I signed off until today.

It was really too bad because the thread had a lot of helpful information about Medicaid for a new person trying to learn.

Since this acronym post is for new people, maybe someone could explain to this new person why regulars here think it's their job to police who can and can't post on a thread and they can misinterpret what you wrote and tell you to go away.

A PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) feeding tube insertion is the placement of a feeding tube through the skin and the stomach wall. It goes directly into the stomach. PEG feeding tube insertion is done in part using a procedure called endoscopy. Feeding tubes are needed when you are unable to eat or drink.
