Hardly anyone posts on our ‘jokes for the caregiver’ thread anymore.

I find value in comic relief and enjoy a quirky sense of humor!

Please share your favorite humorous ‘senior’ quotes. All other quotes are welcome too, something meaningful or inspirational for all of us to read.

This is the recipe of life, my mother told me, as I wept in her arms
Think of the flowers you plant
In the garden each year
They will teach you
That people too
Will wilt
Fall
Root and rise
In order to bloom again

This actually happened about 50 years ago...My husband's beloved ageing Aunt was a Mr Magoo type. One day she sailed right through a red light while driving and pulled up to a pump at a gas station. A uniformed policeman witnessed her running the red light , and he pulled his patrol car into the gas station right behind her car. He got out of his patrol car and knocked on her driver side window to get her attention. Oblivious, she rolled down her car window, leaned out, and said "just fill it up with regular."

Anxiety,

Lennon has always been my favorite Beatle! I do love Paul and George too. Ringo, eh…He is smart enough to know to surround himself with very talented people!

The Beatles came to New Orleans when I was nine years old. The performance was at City Park and tickets were $4.00!

I begged my mom to go because I had seen them on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Mom told me that she didn’t want to go and be surrounded by all of the screaming girls. I said, but Mom, I want to be one of those screaming girls! LOL 😆 I didn’t get to go! 😞
