My mom has to come and live with us. She can no longer live by herself. She may have breast cancer. Need advice on caregiver options.

My mom has 93 has arthritis of knees reaaly bad .Still walks with walker but she may now have breast Ca.We will know this week.She is going to have to come and live at my house.Sister who was living with her has gotten a job out of town. Sister just decided with out any notice that she is leaving the day after my mom's biopsy. I do not want to put her in a nursing home right now.I need some information on trying to find home health care while I am at work.Mom is on a limited budget. i have applied for Va benifits but they have been giving me the run around. Applied for Aid and Attendence. Sent eveything they ask for on their forms they still have denined her. Any help there would be appreciated. Just need some options please.
