My mom filled out her advance directive stating she wanted me to be POA, Durable medical POA, and guardian/conservator is she even needed one. It was notorized, but not frawn up by lawyer because the lawyer said she didn't need a lawyer to do it. Do I "have" POA if I need to enact it? She's 84 and having some pretty strong dementia symptoms while still living in her home.
