Mild Cognitive Impairment: 10 Things to Know


I have been told by my MD that I have MCI...I had already researched why I might be having problems and am very depressed, knowing. this is what I have. I am glad there is more info re: MCI. I hope to get into a mess study.

Very interesting. As I have studies of Gerontology from 1991, I keep reading everything that comes across related to brain disorders, memory loss and Alzheimer's disease. It is always good to have this information in order to help friends or family members. I hope it helps you too.

Helpful. My husband has more problems with judgement,reasoning, and conversation than he does with memory. I didn't know that this meant an increased risk in developing dementia.

I think this is a good article. I agree that we should not wait to get a diagnosis...the sooner we know the better prepared and greater the support systems we can establish.


Very good article. Regarding Peggy Darnell's enquiry, I'd google each of the medications you take to see if MCI is a possible side effect. Either that, or ask your doctor or pharmacist.
