Dear Dragon, I imagine you have talked to all her/your relatives/friends/church? Also, have you thought of a neighborhood yard sale, bake sale, car wash ? Has the bank been asked for an extension due to hardship?
Also, I don't know how much money you're talking about but sometimes many people are willing to give a little support to make up the total. Have you contacted all the churches in your town to ask for support/help? Even if you/she aren't members the worst they can say is no. They may have resources you can't even imagine much less access.
