My motehr was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in march of this year. My question is regarding support groups. Common sense tells me that this could prove to be helpful and will make my Mother feel that she is not alone. However, I fear that she will meet other people who have had the disease for a much longer period of time and will make her scared of what is yet to come for herself. What do you all think?

Find Care & Housing
Maybe you can join a group of caregivers who have patients or family members with Lewy Body Dementia. That way you can tell them about your concerns for your mother before she gets involved with a group.
