How do we stop tele-marketers from calling my MIL?

She can barely say anything but yes and no but they still persist. We have put her on the National no call list but we have been monitoring her phone calls and she is still receiving call from marketers. They seem to prey upon the elderly! We don't want to take the phone out because she may need to call for help sometime and her two daughters call once in a while. Any ideas as to how we can stop the tele-marketers?

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that we have to renew the registration for the National No Call list every year. Also, we have about decided to change her phone number....

Try getting an unlisted number. Make sure you register with the National No Call yearly. And maybe caller ID, so she will know if family is calling.
