My husband had knee replacement. We need a chair lift for him. Is there any help?

Medicare will not cover a complete "lift chair", but strangely enough they do cover the "mechanical parts" that enable the chair to lift. 

You could also check with resale shops in your area. When my mom died, I gave her lift chair to a non-profit resale shop. See if they'll take your name and call you if one comes in.

I would talk to a social worker and see if there are any community resources or possibly through church if you are looking at financial assistance for the chair lift. I know some charities will donate this type of equipment as well.
