Find Care & Housing
shoeppn,

No you do not have to a have a license (CNA) to care for your parent. If you were to hire an outside caregiver they would need a license to come in and provide care. Welcome to being a caregiver. It can be challenging but rewarding at the same time. I hope you find the support you are looking for form AgingCare.com.

I have included some new caregiver articles to help you transition into this caregiving role.

No, you do not. Many cultures have always kept elderly parents at home in the family and cared for them. I always have with my parents, grandparents, and in-laws. I would suggest that you get whatever info you need for any conditions your parent has and info on any meds taken.
