Is this program thru Medicare? How do I go about getting some help maybe a nurse to come to my parents home to help with daily functions?

I suggest you contact your parents' primary care doctor as to which Home Health Care Provider he recommends. He will have to request them to send a nurse or case manager to do an assessment as to what services your parents need. I don't know about doctor's appointments or grocery shopping. Good luck.

Call the Department of Aging and request help, they will direct you.
