My parents live in a senior housing facility, but my father needs a caretaker twice a day. I started with contacting the senior social worker at my local hospital. She gave me a list of caregiving organizations and businesses. She also gave me a recommendation.

Find Care & Housing

I interviewed 3 companies. The one I was most impressed with, sent out the manager to talk with Mom and me and "hand-picked" a caregiver for my Mom based on her personality, needs, etc. They also hire locally and pay their employees a salary instead of hourly.
We have been very pleased with their service. It costs $19./hr, 2 hr minimum.
