Vascular dementia with hallucinations - what to do? My aunt has been experiencing hallucinations when alone - she says they are bothersome. When she is with others (she lives in asst. living) she's fine. I hesitate to put her on any strong medications due to the bad side effects. What should we do?

Is she on medication now for anything? The hallucinations may be a result of her current dosage being too strong.
