My mother is moving next week from assisted living to memory care, within the same facility, she has been to memory care in her facility numerous times, and says that the people are not real and they scare her.
How do I make the transition easy for her?
The nurse suggests that I not come see mom for 2 weeks after the move, so she can get acclimated. Any comments or suggestions??

Chatykat582,

Best of luck with your mother moving. She will do just fine. Here is an article on how to ease the transition of adjusting to a new facility. https://www.agingcare.com/articles/Assisted-Living-Transition-for-elderly-parents-136537.htm

Let us know how it goes.
