You will automatically get the $250 if you went into your "donuthole" for the year - maxed out the program so you've been paying full price for drugs. You don't have to do anything to get it, if you are at that point in your Medicare D. You can find more information on www.medicare.gov.
I would like more information about this, where can it be found? I have SSDI and have Medicare part D, could anyone please post further details here to this page.
If you are getting SSDI and are on Medicaid, I'm not sure that you will as you may not have Medicare D. If you are getting Medicare D, and if you have gone into the donuthole with you prescription costs, then, I believe you will get it. You should check with whoever provides your medical insurance.
