My name is on the deed to my mother's house. Can she buy me out to spend down her assets?

PS -- you do know that the state can claim repayment of Medicaid expenditures out of the sale of her house when she dies, right? So if you are counting on her willing it to you, that may be a complication ...

Interesting idea. She couldn't spend down to buy some other big asset, but she is allowed to own a house, so this might work. I'm interested in seeing what members more knowledgable about spend down rules have to day.
