Life insurance companies typically have postpone periods that start once all cancer treatment has been completed. The length of time for these postpone periods varies depending on the type of cancer you had and the staging of your cancer. Lower stage 1 and stage 2 cancers will have shorter postpone periods. Stage 3 cancers may have a postpone period of 5-10 years depending on type of cancer. Life insurance is not available for stage 4 cancers.
