In some states/communities they have senior housing for low income couples----and the rent it is based upon their income. This might be a good start. Also, you might want them to get involoved with day care-where meals may be provided, health screenings are done, and there are activities to partake in. Check out the options.

What do you mean by getting involved with day care?

We have a place where the parents can be taken to and dropped off. It is adult day care. They have snacks morning and afternoon and a meal at noon. There is entertainment by volunteers almost everyday, which they really look forward to. It gives them more socialization than sitting in their room all day long. And, there are health care workers there to check out their blood pressure and temp and that. Not real sure about the care available, but I am sure they have to know if the older ones need help through out the day while in their care.
