People Caring for Aging Parents Can Win $2,000 of Free Housecleaning
November 13, 2008, Naples, FL – In honor of National Family Caregivers Month, AgingCare.com wants to make a deserving caregiver's life a little easier. AgingCare.com is holding a contest. The prize? $2,000 of free housecleaning.
To enter the contest, family caregivers are asked to describe a memorable caregiving experience: a sweet moment they've shared with their loved one, some upbeat wisdom that might help others, or a funny story that takes the edge off. The winner will receive a $2,000 gift card, provided by Merry Maids, and have their story published on AgingCare.com.
"Caregivers are often too busy keeping up with their job, kids and caregiving duties to take proper care of themselves. Often, their own doctor's appointments, exercise regimens and general health concerns fall by the wayside. As a result, statistics show that 30% of caregivers die before the people they're caring for," says AgingCare.com Publisher .
The winning caregiver will, perhaps for the first time in their life, feel the relief of walking into their home after it's been cleaned by someone other than themselves.
Caregivers must submit their stories by November 30, 2008. AgingCare.com will announce the winner in December.
