I have a privileged position seeing every sort of person presenting to the Emergency department. Recently a 38 year old muscular dystrophy patient was admitted for lethargy. The striking thing about him was his amazing parents. Both in their mid 60's caring fulltime for a son who is wheelchair bound with minimal hand movements. They worked well as a team. These days make my career worthwhile.
