I’m a 53 yr old woman who takes care of my mother who has dementia for 4 years. I took a week vacation to visit my son, after 4 years, while my grown children watch their grandma. Went parasailing, horseback riding, kayaking, paddle boarding, rock climbing (at a gym), to the museums and ate a variety of different foods. It was wonderful. However, it’s harder than ever to readjust to caregiving.
