     I took my mother to the emergency room because I thought she had had a stroke, or was about to. She mixed up my name, and when she tried to form sentences, gibberish came out. It was a UTI. I had no idea that UTI's could cause dementia-like symptoms. Funny thing was, she could hear her voice making gibberish, but could do nothing about it, but laugh, she thought it was hilarious!
