     The hard thing about caring for a parent is that not only are we their arms and legs to take care of their physical needs, but they also expect to help with their emotional needs. I found with my parents as they got older and needed more help, they no longer were concerned with my needs. I so wanted them to recognize that I needed a hug, some reassurance that I was doing a good job.
