     My parents and I were in a doctor's waiting room. We saw an old friend and talked with him and then went back to our seats. Mom (who is deaf) kept saying over and over REALLY loud, "Wow, has he gained a lot of weight. Looks like he's really going downhill". I couldn't make her stop so just died inside and smiled outside. I tried to say "sorry" by osmosis to the dear man (my first employer).
