LOVE this! I am going to give this to my mom and aunt. My grandma is 83 and she is beginning to loose her balance and fall. As a matter of fact, she fell a while ago and my mom is taking her to the hospital to be checked out. I have seen this several times and cryed through the whole thing because I can see and hear my grandma saying these things to my mom and aunt. We are loosing this generation faster every day and we need to learn all we can from them. I love you momal.

How touching! My mother lived with us the last year of her life. She was diagnosed with cancer after a few monthsand was told she only had a few months left. During one of our many doctors visits she introduced me to the doctor and added " I used to be her mother and now she's mine!" I'm so grateful that it was me that was lucky enough to take care of her until her death, four months after diagnosis. It was the best gift I ever received!!!! xxoxoxo to my little Louise. I miss her every day. MUAH.

That was beautiful! I've seen it before but thanks for sharing again. I agree with starshine14 - we need to have it read "daughters and sons". I have two sons - so I'm copying it and heading it "Letter from a Mother to Her Son".

So true! When my mom starts to tell me what a "bad" mom she was, I tell her about the happy things I remember even if she doesn't. There were a lot of happy times for all the above reasons.

Had seen this a few days ago, shared by a friend. I think it is the most loving and caring letter for a mother to express to her child the feelings that come with age.

The only thing I'd change would be to say it to both daughters & sons.
