Need to know how to get her to eat, drink or she will die. She has forgotten how to use a straw and feed herself. Going into her own world.I take care of a 90-year-old woman with Alzheimer's. Had a stroke years ago that left her with a slight swallowing problem.

Find Care & Housing
So, so very sad. My father had swallowing problem and last few months of his life he had to eat food that had been ground up or pureed (sp). Also, he drank a protein drink called Ensure. It comes in a variety of flavors. At least it can keep them hydrated. He did not have alzheimers, but I have heard that not being able to eat is part of alzheimers. Can hospice be called in? Sounds like she might need their services. Blessings and take care.
