I love my parents, I love my parents, I love my parents! But I just don't see how all you full time caregivers remain sane! Yesterday I left work early to go to my parents' house. I just happened to come home on my way out of town to find a message on my machine from the DHS worker assigned to my mom's case to get her on the Elderly Waiver. She gave me a list of 3 things to get from my parents. I have 14 days to get them. I drove 2 1/2 hours to their house last night, got the paperwork, went with my dad to the doctor, toured an independent living facility, helped them get their medications, came back home to find a message on my answering machine from the DHS lady who now wants another piece of paper from my parents. I just got home! I could have gotten this paper today if she had told me about it yesterday! All of these exclamation points are frustration! I read some of these posts and wow! HUGS TO YOU!!!!!

The paperwork will drive you crazy. Right when you think you have it all done, there is one more thing. Do you think they would be able to complete the paperwork if it was sent to them? or if a social worker went by? I so sympathize with you.
