Thank you. I put an ad on Craig's List, but will have to keep re admitting it every so often. Hopefully I'll find something close by. Thanks for your help

Hi Tina,
Check with your local newspaper. Many only put their support groups online, because of space, but they list them. Also, 211 is a helpline many states offer - dial like 911.

Call your local Alzheimer's association (even if dementia isn't the issue), check with nursing homes, assisted living centers and churches. Your local Social Services people may know of a group.
There are groups out there, but they aren't always easy to find.

Good luck with this. If there isn't one around, work with a church or agency and try to get one started. There are many people looking for groups.

Sometimes, groups get started, but because of time restraints, they don't have enough people. It isn't lack of need, but caregivers often find it hard to get away.
