I came across this site a year after my dad passed and at a moment when I foresaw my mom needing more help. My caregiving was/is not as difficult as many of you face, but it was enough that I appreciate the depths of your issues.

I will pray for Christmas Miracles for all:

May your parent have a lucid moment and squeeze your hand in love or say thank you.

For those of you who were really distraught over the holidays, may you find inner peace.

May the uninvolved sibling drop by and say “I got this” while you get some R&R.

May your parent want a shower and not miss the toilet mark.

May God Bless you for all you do.

Merry Christmas and Godspeed,

L

Several of these happened just yesterday with my 86-yr-old mother and I did thank God for each of them as a miracle. I will also pray miracles for the countless others in this situation. Thank you, lsmiami, for your idea, your prayers, and the inspiration to pay the prayers forward. Merry Christmas and God Bless you all!
