As a caregiver myself, I would like to honor all caregivers and thank them for the sacrifice, patience, compassion and love that you display on a daily basis. Unless you are a caregiver, you cannot imagine how difficult the job is, and for those who continue to provide daily (and nightly) care to their loved ones, THANK YOU!

Thanks. I appreciate that acknowledgment and I'm sure others will too. It's not often that we are recognized and honored for what we do.

Yes, caregiving is indeed a unique experience. It definitely changed my perspective on life. I never really saw things like I do now. It really wakes you up and causes you appreciate things so much more, imo. Many thanks to all those who care and give of themselves.

The below quote reminds me of all the caregivers out there...

"Here is to all the people who get back up more times than they are knocked down, Who give more than they ever expect to receive, Who still show love to others, even though their own heart is broken, Who smile through the sad times, Who light the way for others, Who spread laughter and joy. Thank you for making the world a better place."

Happy Caregivers Month all!

Second that sentiment:
""Here is to all the people who get back up more times than they are knocked down, Who give more than they ever expect to receive, Who still show love to others, even though their own heart is broken, Who smile through the sad times, Who light the way for others, Who spread laughter and joy. Thank you for making the world a better place."

Appreciation to all of our caregiving family on this forum, and to all the caregivers who have stayed on after the loss of loved ones. A special recognition to the caregivers of caregivers! There are no words to express how much you mean to me!

Have a great National Caregiver's Month!

Dear Friends,

Sending you all love and hugs for everything you do for your loved ones! It sure isn't easy but I'm grateful to know there are so many loving people in the world. It gives me hope and much needed encouragement.

I'm a brand new caregiver. It's almost been a week but feels like a year. I'm exhausted and my Dad is in a NH and it's across the street from my house so I visit him a few times a day and bring him food and stuff. Thank you!
