Does anyone know WHO or WHAT organization in Washington DC or by state, to contact regarding income for full-time home caregivers. This would save the tax payers at least $2,000 per month for Medicaid to keep loved ones in a nursing home. I understand Massachusettes has passed a provision alloting approximately $1500 per month and that Vermont has something similar at $10 per hour. As baby boomers age, this would save all of us money over the long haul for nursing home care, especially in the earlier stages of progressive diseases such as Parkinson's disease. If anyone has this information and I am addressing this to Carol Bradley also, I would appreciate so much knowing who to contact. Our home state is Tennessee however we are in Texas so perhaps either one might have a program for this. Does anyone know anything about this? Thank you. RSuzyJ
