My stepfather is 90 and has dementia. My mother's health is failing due to having to take care of him. He is a WWII veteran with a Purple Heart if this makes a difference in the financial aspects, and of course he is on Medicare. What kinds of options do we have for his care. My mom doesn't want to take him out of the house yet, and he is lucid enough to know her and want her there. Thanks.

I care for a 90-year-old retired Airforce Colonel. They have long term care insurance, but I've heard the Military covers in-home care. I would contact someone at Tri-Care or the branch of the military in which he served to ask.
