My father has macular degeneration and is almost blind. He has 20/50 site in his "good" eye and continues to drive. He lives alone and has always been a very active man, also very independent. He doesn't want to accept suggestions as he is also a controlling person. I am divorced and unemployed. I have the option to move in with him, but I know it is not the place for me. I think he would like for me to move back home and take care of him. I am 60 yrs old and do not want to take care of my father. He has talked about assisted living, but he has hinted that I could come live with him. Neither of us three grown children want to live with him. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to help find a situation for this condition and keep my sanity?
