Are there any meds that help with dementia short term memory?

My mother passed away 6 wks ago. She would have been 94 Mar 27th. She died at home in hospice care. I administered the morphine until, she took her last breath. Has anyone gone through the same thing.

I agree with wvavet, she might have UTI. My Mom has Alzheimer's and turns into someone else when UTI happens. Simple urinalysis could answer the question for you with a simple antibiotic fix! Hope she feels better soon!

Just a thought, sounds like my mom when she has a UTI. No logic, confused and very paranoid. Hopes shes better now.
