Well said. The Irish have a negative saying that goes like: "When the devil of dementia enters a house, good friends disappear like the morning dew". That said, each of us must apply the positive thought process articulated so well in this blog entry, and continually reach out to those same friends and bring them back to your home. Socialization is a mandatory support function that caregivers must put a high priority on in all phases of dementia.
