When purchasing your own small oxygen machine (concentrator) it is very important to first have a doctors prescription and work with a local durable medical equipment retailer who will properly explain the various models and insurance reimbursement. An interesting and informative article--I had seen oxygen concentrators in my mother's nursing home and looked up how they worked.
Oxygen ISN'T actually flammable--it simply reacts with OTHER materials that ARE flammable. That is, oxygen isn't a fuel, but one must be careful to keep concentrated oxygen away from circumstances in which a combustible material is present, especially in a warm, dry situation.
