If you go into this project thinking you will "put" your loved one on a budget, be prepared for some of us loved ones to plant our feet and get stubborn. This money didn't fall from heaven. We worked for it. We saved it. We made budgets so each paycheck would last until the next one so you could have new shoes and new pants before the old ones became an embarrassment. We deserve the respect we've earned. Unless your parent's doc tells you your parent is flirting with memory loss or incompetency, don't you dare be patronizing. It'll backfire. And some of us will never trust some of you again. We might be older, but we learned a few things. And if you'll hold still while we grab hold of something sturdy, we can still kick your ass.
Many insurance companies have an additional charge for paying premiums in installments, so this should be kept in mind if deciding whether to pay in full or not.
